I think Marvio Tischhauser would have the best shot at Bo. Right now he has 6 state titles and will be in the 14&U category starting next year. If he wins all of them he will finish with 10 maybe 11 of course he will then have to win 4 high school titles, but its completly possible

How did Zach Roberson do in Kids, because I know he had the four high school titles?

Nigel,

Will the high school titles be more difficult for Marvio to achieve because he is a bigger wrestler and will have to wrestle more Juniors & Seniors as a Freshman?

Here is a good question for those of you who have access or memory of the past achievements. How many of the 56 high school state champions this year won a kids state title in 14,12,10, 0r 8 and under.

Vince,

I really don't know the answer to that question. At this point he has another year before he even gets into high school. I think by the time he gets to high school he will be wrestling 130 - 145 somewhere in that ringe and those are pretty tough weight classes. But I also haven't really seen what kind of competition he would have that are just 4A. It will be fun to watch but we'll have to wait until then

Will,

That is an interesting question. Do you have any idea of how many? I would guess at least 50% but maybe that is way too high. You could have wrestlers who maybe placed in grade school at Kids State but never really won the State title because they were in weight classes around annual Kid State Champion wrestlers like Marvio or Jared Hensley and just could not get by them as youth wrestlers. Many of the non-champions in Kids do not mature physically and mentally in wrestling until they get to high school. And of course you have those great athletes who win in high school and did not start wrestling until high school or late in grade school. Many of the Kids State Champions maybe hit their peak in grade school or lose their desire. Another thing is when it gets split into 4 different classes in high school at State there is opportunity for three more championships available at each weight. It would be interesting to know the answer though.

Nigel,

Marvio is wrestling at 140 right now as a seventh grader up from 110 as a sixth grader. I know he probably is well under 140 but still if he wrestles at less than the 152 weight as a freshman and less than the 171 weight as a senior, I will be surprised. You are right he will be fun to watch as he progresses in his wrestling career.

Nigel, I would say that Daniel DeShazer has an even better shot at matching Bo's totals. As to date he has 4 state championships and is still going to be in 10&U next year. This leaves him with the chance to win 7 more kids titles and then the possibility of 4 High School state titles. Total of 15; could happen....
