I am going to steal a few minutes and report from Council Bluffs.
First, the Silver College went great. Two Kansas coaches, Shannon Peters from Salina and Rick Creek from Marysville were among the attendees!
Shawn Bunch lost his bid for the World Team, losing two straight matches to Mike Zadick.
It was great to see Steve Andrus and his family. Steve was 1-2 in the challenge tournament.
Tomorrow, Joe Johnston wrestles!

What a week! I've often said that attending the Silver College and attending the WTT's is arguably the best week a wrestling coach or wrestling fan will ever spend!! This year was no exception.
At the Silver College we had a coach over from the UK, a past World Womens Champ from Venezuela, and a great guy that spent several years on our World Teams in the 80's. They were joined by coaches from California, Florida, Indiana and more ... even from Kansas!
They had the pleasure of having sessions with Ike Anderson, Terry Steiner, Mark Hull, Jason Thomason, Zeke Jones, Brandon Slay, Bill Zadick, Rusty Davidson, Steve Fraser and Mike Duroe. They camp was lead by Cody Bickley who did a bang up job in the first college for USA Wrestling!
Then the trials: Travis Paulson beating Trent Paulson and then Andrew Howe, Brent Metcalf beating Jared Frayer, Ruiz over Johnson, Jake Herbert holding on the beat a very game Keith Gavin, Les Sigman over Tervel Dlagnev, and Alyssa Lampe over former World Champ Clarissa Chung!
Perhaps you missed out on all the great events ... but you have another chance!! Next year in Oklahoma City, June 9th, 10th and 11th ... the 2011 World Team Trials will be held ... see you there!
