In addition to all the Kansas guys wrestling for FHSU, the rosters for UNO & Central Missouri include several wrestlers from Kansas. Truman has one Kansas wrestler listed on their roster.

On Sunday, UNO will also honor their 7 Seniors. Two of these are Tait Weatherbee from Hays and Matt Rein from Abilene.

Wrestling fans from my area of the state have to be very proud of the great seasons that Matt Baker of UNO and Aldon Isenberg of Fort Hays State are having. Congratulations to both Matt and Aldon. I wish you both the best of luck at nationals this year.

Matt Baker should be the model for all good Kansas high school athletes who never wrestled before high school and end up devoting their athletic careers to wrestling. I bet Matt is going to be a great wrestling coach someday either in high school or college.

Thanks, Vince. Matt is working to become a Secondary Science teacher and coach. He has benefited from many great coaches in Kansas & Omaha as well as teammates who have helped him improve.

You are welcome, Lou Ann. I know one thing. Nothing Matt accomplishes in wrestling surprises me at all. His wrestling improves every year. Tell him best of luck for the rest of this season.
