I think the numbers may be low this year due to the fact that it is graduation weekend for a lot of schools. All Topeka schools graduations are this weekend. Either Sat. or Sun. Aspen said he would rather wrestle then walk across the stage and get a fake piece of paper:)lol. Luckily for me they said the Older boys are wrestling Sat. and our graduation is on Sun. What was wrong with the 1st weekend in May? It seemed to me #'s increased from previous years by having it then.

I like the weekend before Southern Plains. Normally we are out of school by then, which is good.

Have you completed a bronze clinic?

You should have a bronze card if you are bronze certified.

Is that the extra 60 or 80 dollar thing that Hinderliter put on at the KWCA clinic? If so, I did not do it. And, if that is going to keep me from being able to coach my kids, that sucks. It may cost the tournament 8-10 or more kids entries. Unless Ewalt is free. I have been officiating and coaching for at least 17 years. I would think that would make me qualified enough to sit in the corner. It wasn't a problem last year.

You can do the bronze class on line you should contact Randy Hinderliter and discuss it with him he held his last chance class a couple weeks before subdistrict. This should have been brought up along time ago when Randy was still offering classes.

I looked for the online clinic. It was on Feb. 23 and 24 as far as I can tell. It also cost $75. I have never needed it before therefor I chose not to spend the money. I already pay for background checks for wrestling, Cal Ripken baseball, 100 dollars for a coaching card here and another one there. It gets very expensive to try to travel with kids and help them out. I would like to have an explanation as to why you need a bronze card for this.

There is a webinar bronze card clinic online on april 26th and 27th at 6-8 pm MDT. If you go to www.themat.com and click on the coaches corner icon at the top of the page there is a list on avilable classes, the closest one being in Colorado. But there is one online webinar. I hope this helps.

Then you are in the same boat that the rest of us are in. We all did it, so you have to also. I would rather not have to do it, but I do, because if I don't, I can't coach. Just grin and bear it..........

This is the only event that I coach in that requires such a thing. I want to know why! Why the change this year?

I am sure it has something to do with USA wrestling and the insurance.......A few years ago, there was no requirement for the bronze card, then they changed it. Afew years ago, no requirement of the background check, now we do.........A few bad apples cause everyone else to go thru crap that we shouldn't have to...........

As of now the bronze card is good for ever you dont have to get a new one every year like the usa card so it would be a one time expense.

I am also in need of my Bronze Card. I would greatly appreciate it if you could put on a clinic before the State FS/GR tournament. Thanks Randy!
