Was buzzing around on NAIA website and got to looking at Football stats and low and behold is a team I never heard of with an astonishing record.

http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/naia/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/RegularSeasonRecords8.pdf

Fewest Points Allowed per game: 1.3 (13 total points scored on them in 10 games).

I googled the school which I guess closed in the 90's at some point, and 3 years in a row they kept opponents under 9 pts a game!

I coached against them many times when I was at Bethel College. At that time they were coached by Moe Werner, one of the all time greats. They had a long history of collegiate athletics and it was all cut short by a misunderstanding that cost them a lot of money that they did not have and resulted in the closing of the school. It was a very sad day in the KCAC when they went under. There were a lot of very good people out there in those days.

I heard lots of discussion about getting involved in a truck driving school and losing money also at the time they went under.

Yeah that was it. They were just trying to make enough money to keep the doors open and the feds hit them with a huge irs bill or a fine I can't remember which and it just immediately closed them. It was about this time of year and they just conferred degrees that day and shut the doors. It was a very shocking thing and we felt bad for them. They had no idea they had done anything wrong and it just ended them.

Did they have a wrestling team too? I swear I have seen that name on somebody's previous history list of teams they have faced.
