I met Lindsey by chance in Chicago's O'Hare airport when he was on his way to the Greco World Championships that were held in Baku back in 2007. We chatted and I gave him my business card figuring I would probably never hear from him again. That was not the case. He called me when they returned and we set up a trip to KC where he worked with Ryne and others for three days at Saint James. He stayed at our house and was a hit was all three of my boys as well as all of the other wrestlers who came to his sessions. From that time forward he has opened his door to helping any Kansas wrestlers at Bighorn Nationals, Monster Match Natonals and wherever he could be. I actually had him scheduled to be in Hays last week the day he had his surgery. He has let helped Ryne, Parker Madl, and Taylor Moeder stay at his residence for training. Last summer Ryne and Taylor drove to Denver and worked with Lindsey before the Fargo camp. Lindsey taught Taylor a trap arm gut that Taylor used to destroy his opponents two weeks later in Fargo. He always welcomed Ryne and any other wrestlers to his home and gym. He awlays called and checked in on all three of my boys and this past spring he coached one of our KS Teams at the Rocky Mountain Nationals Duals after opening up his gym to all 40 of our wrestlers. Our sport has lost a great guy and the Cokeleys have lost a truly great friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and countless friends.
