Even if Deitchler does not go for Minnesota, they are favored. With a likely 6 #1 or #2 seeds to PSU's 5, they have more scoring potential. This tournament will come down to bonus points and a couple head-to-head match-ups (Q vs Steinhaus, & CWade vs Nelson) IMO. Also, Cornell, Missouri, and even Oregon State have a lot of firepower, so they can not be excluded. This will be a fun tournament!!

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern hosts the 49th annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships Dec. 29-30 at Welsh-Ryan Arena and today the tournament committee announced the top contenders for this year’s event. Although the final seeding for Midlands may extend beyond the top eight at each weight class, the pre-tournament contenders are subject to change.
