No. 7-Tigers Head to New York for Inaugural Grapple at the Garden
Missouri's wrestling team will face Cornell and Bloomsburg in New York City for a ground-breaking college wrestling event at Madison Square Garden.

Zach Toal will rematch against Cornell's Kyle Dake this weekend in NYC. Dake, ranked No. 1 in the nation at 165 pounds, defeated Mizzou's Toal 14-3 in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.

Mizzou Wrestling Dual Notes

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 7-ranked Missouri Tigers fly to New York City this weekend for a pair of dual meets at the first ever college-wrestling event held at Madison Square Garden. "Grapple at the Garden, presented by Suplay.com", will feature more than 65 ranked wrestlers from 14 colleges, including four NCAA champions. Six of the competing programs are ranked in the top-25 nationally. Among the nationally ranked matchups on the day include No. 2 Oklahoma State against No. 8 Cornell and No. 4 Ohio State against No. 17 Maryland. For more information on this historic event, visit their website.

Recently, the Tigers went toe-to-toe with No. 4 Ohio State in the Cliff Keen Invitational, falling one point short of the tournament championship. Missouri is 5-0 in duals on the season, allowing a grand total of 5 team points against in those duals.

On Sunday, Missouri's dual meet opponents will be No. 8 Cornell and No. 25 Bloomsburg. The eighth-ranked Big Red also participated in the Cliff Keen Invitational, finishing in third place as a team. Dake will lead the Cornell starting lineup that features three other nationally ranked grapplers. The Bloomsburg Huskies enter the weekend with three wrestlers ranked in the top 25 nationally. Junior Richard Perry is 15-1 at 197 pounds.

Please add anyone you want to the list. I did not mean to leave any of the former Kansas HS wrestlers off. I glance through the rosters they had on trackwrestling. Oklahoma State originally had 41 guys listed on trackwrestling.

Actually left off two, both from the same University. Your son and his teammate from Pratt High School.

As usual Richard you are correct.
Both were listed, apparently an oversight.

Great coverage and good for the sport. Every other college that was involved most likely has a summary. Iowa and Ohio State were not tested at the event.
