Always wondered what would happen if one fell. I sure hope that there are no lasting effects for this young man. My son wrestled in several finals under the spotlight and always hated it. Its more for the theatrics than the wrestlers.

I sure am glad he doesn't dilly-dally when the ref tells him to get set. If he was one of those kids that has to adjust both knee pads and pull up both socks before he gets set, this video would be a lot more grizzly.

Wow...lucky.

Maybe they'll get rid of those single lights. If you are the official, its hard to see what's going on because of the heavy shadows. You sometimes can't really see a fall because the dark shadow blends everything together that close to the mat. If you have a black or dark mat, forget it. Locked hands, chokes, etc. become a guessing game. It's really a difficult situation unless there is some decent side lighting which of course takes away the "cool factor."
