When: Mar 8
Where: Lawrence KS
10am-4pm
Focus: building position from a stopped shot, Front Headlock, Defending deep attacks, mat return options, pressure from the top, and breaking the lock (scoring options) once to the feet from a stand up.
Much of wrestling is based on positioning and motion, NOT moves. When done right, wrestling is a sport of constant motion, and most young wrestlers look for moves instead of wrestling for position! So this camp should help the kids win more of their 1-2 point matches. This time of year is the time to worry about the matches that can go either way, not beating the opponents that are currently far better, as that should be the 'off season' focus. I'm certain this technical format will help those that attend, and is what we are currently covering in our weekly Purler Wrestling Academy sessions.
