How much weight are they giving for the first weigh in Friday morning. I saw where someone said 3 pounds.

+1 pound over the +2....so 106 can weigh 109, etc.

Then Friday night weigh-in, 106 can weigh 110

I agree, what is this allowance for? Why not just call it 109 or 110? Makes no sense to me. Heck we expect our 6 and under kids to make scratch weight, why can't teenagers do it?

KSHSAA Rules if a school is out all get one extra pound. If they school cannot have an authorized practice the pound is granted And they get the 2 pounds after Jan 1. as a growth allowance. It used to be 5 pounds back in the day but they lowered it to 2 some time ago.

It's not the same for 6u kids. They should not be cutting anyway. Also small kids are not on team that is slotted and been competing that way all year. Yes, they are on a club team, but it's not like if one kid competes another one cannot.
