We often complain, justifiably so regarding the lack of coverage. I am surprised that no one in the Wichita area has made mention this year of Instant Replay, the newspaper distributed at several locations including McDonalds, the YMCA and others in the area. This publication has been exceptional, for the last months having something in every weekly issue regarding wrestling. Even the editor had a piece last week about wishing that his son had wrestled instead of playing basketball. I just picked up today’s issue and between the photographs and various school news of all sports, wrestling is the prominent sport featured.

It has been obvious to me that the editor of this publication enjoys, appreciates, and cares about the sport of wrestling. It is also obvious that he is a former wrestler. Today’s issue has wrestling as the cover, with a huge photograph of Tristen DeShazer and recognizing him for his accomplishments.

Truth is, there is a lot to often times complain about. The other truth is that we don’t do enough to compliment someone when they are doing a great job. Well I decided to come on and say, “Instant Replay, regarding your coverage of wrestling this year, you have done a great job and I for one appreciate all of the coverage from kids up through high school that you have provided. I will frequent your advertisers and tell them how grateful I personally am of your publication and to keep on supporting quite possibly the best sports coverage in the Wichita area.”

I second that Mike. I have been impressed all year with Instant Replay. It didn't hurt that they had pictures of my son and yours this last time either. Maybe we better tell them about Mr. Chenowith so we can get him some ink too.

I third that also. The part I like about instant replay is tht its coverage is fair to all sports. You won't see basketball smeared across four pages with big pics etc. and wrestling in a 1 inch by 3 inch column. Good job Instant Replay. I think we should list their sponsors on here to show our thanks.

I was down in Wichita and made a rare stop at the Golden Arches and was thoroughly impressed with that publication.

Agree on the Chenoweth article, I know there will be more wrestling, even though state is over. Kids Clubs, and others need to take advantage of this. I know that WWC and others have done so, promoting their programs in full-page articles and results.

Contact information for the publisher, I just sent them a letter of gratitude and would encourage all fans to do the same. According the the publication, back issues are available by calling 316-558-8800. By the way, one of the great things about this publication. IT'S FREE!

Contact information, please write, email or call thanks.

Just as a point as to the support from this publication. In the current issue there are, counting the cover, 42 photographs, and 16 PAGES of wrestling coverage. Pretty good if you ask me.
