Just wanted to let people know that the Kansas Junior Colleges kicked some butt in Rochester, MN. over the weekend. All three Kansas schools finished in the top seven team wise with Colby leading the way by placing 2nd with 7 All-Americans. Neosho County finished 6th to bring home a trophy and placed 6 All-Americans, and Labette finished 7th with 2 All-Americans and their second ever national champion in Aaron Meister.

Neosho County finished 6th with six All-Americans. At 125 pounds Hector Mendez placed 4th, Kevin Artis injury defaulted to 8th place at 141 pounds, Aurel Ciufulescu placed 3rd at 149 lbs, Blane Sanderford placed 8th, Danny Sanders placed 7th at 184 lbs, and Golden Smith placed 6th at 197 lbs. It was a good showing for the Panthers. Neosho only qualified 8 wrestlers for the national tournament and placed six of them. Congratulations to all the Kansas wrestlers and Kansas schools that performed well at the NJCAA National Tournament.
