Congratulations to all these Kansas NCAA Division I wrestlers who are doing so well. It is very impressive for Kansas to have six All Americans this year. Last year two of these six took 2nd place and will be going for third place today.
Hopefully someday Kansas wrestlers like these will have the opportunity to represent their own state in the NCAA Division I tournament at schools like Wichita State, Kansas State, or Kansas University.
Think of these young wrestlers that you see wrestle at Districts today. If you think we owe it to them to try and influence WSU, KSU and KU to add NCAA Division I wrestling teams, please get involved by volunteering to be part of the group that Ted Witulski is putting together to accomplish that. He wants at least 500 volunteers. I am convinced that we should be able to get over 1,000 volunteers in Kansas. If everyone would just pull together and help recruit we should be able to go well over 1,000. I know that just a few people have already recruited about 350 people. You can help by just taking one of Mr. Witulski's signup sheets with 8 lines to a page and just recruiting 8 new volunteers. Are you willing to do that for these kids that you will see wrestle at Districts today?
