If you were born in 1989 or 1990 you are eligible to wrestle at the FILA Cadet National tournament in Chicago on April 27th. I want to take a group of guys to this tournament. If you are interested then let me know. FILA cadets are a year older than USA cadets.

Aldon - I didn't realize you went last year. What can you tell us about it? It is the same times as Southern Plains Juniors which will be in Hutch, KS this year. Is it worth going?

Barry, are these dates of birth correct. Natahn is a Junior this year but has a 89 birthday?

Yes the birth date are correct. Remember, this is FILA not USA Wrestling. For this year a cadet for FILA is someone born in 1989 or 1990. You can get the event flyer on the Mat.com if you go to events and then April 27. Basically, if you were a cadet at Fargo last year then you are a cadet for FILA this year.

Yea i went last year with Noblet and Ely went...None of us placed so it had some pretty tough competition. The new rules were in effect last year and it was pretty fun. I also remember seeing Kevin Klemm there and he brought some wrestlers from Stanford, including Tanner Gardner, this tournament is also fun just for the fact that you get to see the older guys wrestle. To answer your question Mr. Disney is it is a good tournament to go to, it just depends on if you feel like traveling to Illinois or not when Hutch is so much closer.
