Even a club was in favor of 6U at District that does not lock their vote it. Perhaps a few found out from their club members that they were not in favor.

One of my points was; speculating that at the D2 meeting that D2 was not unamiously in favor of the proposition!
Randy, at this years meeting, I can't sepak because I had a speaking engagment on the day of the meeting and was not there. I can say, that in the past D2 has overwhelmingly been in favor of this. Jess or someone like Salyer with more history can give more history, but truth is I can't think of a club from last year that was opposed to it from D2. I can think of individuals speaking on their own, but I believe that the clubs themselves supported it. Again, I could be wrong on this issue. It would be interesting in knowing why D2 favors it so strongly and it appears that other districts don't.

The harder I work on my high school team the less time I have on the club, yet giving up the club is not an option as it is the only club in the area. Our club is small and when state comes around it is hard to manage kids with one less coaching pass. I understand the importance of attending such meetings. But I just wish the consequence didn't affect the kids in maybe the most importance folkstyle event of the year.
Travius, I know you also did not attend our District Meeting on the previous Sunday. If you could not make it, for a legitimate reason, all you had to do was to call Henry or myself and let us know. However, since you didn't inform anybody, and missed two consecutive meetings, you will probably lose one pass. I don't know what your reasons were for not attending, but, I know of no college classes that are held on Sundays.

Jeff, As club director, I have no small kids this year, so, it really doesn't matter to me one way or the other, except that it would be more work for our qualifiers and the state tournament, which we can handle.

As Sub-District Director, I intended to vote the way the majority from my Sub-District voted. However, with a role call vote in alphabetical order, it is very hard to track half of the district. That is the reason I abstained from voting, which didn't make a lot of difference anyway.
