The Wichita State Wrestling Team will be having another fundraiser in the form of a summer training camp. The camp is open to kids and high school wrestlers and will run July 8-9 at Wichita State University Heskett Center. The lead instructor for the weekend is former Nebraska Wrestler C. J. Napier. Napier was 3x state champion for Columbus High School and also a Senior National Champion. C. J. has also been very successful recently coaching several Columbus Kids Wrestlers to state titles. Other instructors for the weekend will be Shocker Wrestlers Andy Griffith (HWT), Pat Mosley (165), and Nick Thomas (141). Technique and training will be the main focus of the camp, but camp instructors also intend have game and dual sessions as well as discuss diet and nutrition with the older athletes. The expense to attend the camp is only $40 per wrestler, and all proceeds help fund the wrestling team in their upcoming year of competition.
