i dont see why soo many people are voting for weatherbee! he has been relatively untested this year by any good 3-2-1-a opponents and he go MANHANDLED last year in the finals by baker!

I think 125 is as loaded as 145 was last year, only diff is its not a senior dominated weight, everyone is back next year too. i think its a toss up, but i think loyd has an excellent shot.

as far as baker beating weatherbee in last years state finals @ 119, a 4-2 decision doesnt quite qualify as a manhandling...

I think that you have to put Dylan Loyd of St. Francis on that list. He beat Baker at the NWKL tourney, and has had close matches with Younkin. Weatherbee beat him by one at the Hays Senior Prarie Classic, so I don't think you can count him out.

I'd have to agree with jb83, I would throw loyd in there too. He's an awesome wrestler who doesn't get much credit because he's been beat a few times this year but a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.

I would definately keep Loyd in the running!! He is a great wrestler and took second at state last year behind Younkin. Loyd has had close matches this year with Younkin, Baker, and Weatherbee. It will be interesting!!!

Monnington has a great shot at the title. He is 30-2 with 20 or more pins, and has gone to state at 125 his sophomore and junior year and has beat geske who is ranked #1 in 4A and some other pretty good wrestlers.

For all you people who are saying that Weatherbee hasn't wrestled anyone good this year are just blowing smoke. You don't go 37-1 during the regular season and not wrestle anyone good. His only loss coming to Ortiz from Ulysses who he beat twice already this year. I think Tait can beat everyone, but most people are right about him struggling with Baker. Tait has a problem with the height differencial.
